Wife's RP expired while she is not in Qatar
My wife's visa is about to expired next month (she's under my sponsorship), however she is not currently in Qatar. Can I renew her visa without her being present in Qatar? If yes, how can I process it without her original passport.

Thank you all for your useful comment, I went to Airport Immigration last night, first they told me to go to Gharafa instead but I was not to be turned down so I went to the Captain. He told me it possible, gave me a form to fill and pay QR 500. I got 14 days extended visa for my wife so that she can come and renew her RP.
Same thing happened to me and I had to enter on a visitors visa and sort it out while I was here it cost 500qr. They do need the original passport to renew the RP. It is a pain!!
dont worry, when she is planning to come say after 1 month from date of visa expiry. go to airport immigration office, apply for entry visa 500 QR per person & applicable for 14 days. then after she can come on the base of this entry visa & renew the visa after that as normal procedures.
She has to come here before visa expiry date otherwise send you the passport.
