there are two types of dermabrasion,

one of them called crystal dermabrasion which is using alumonium crystal in a machine which is usually simple and usually has no complication but the result is usually non satisfactory

the other type is surgical dermabrasion which need expert doctors and good selection of patient, usually need skin type 1 to 3 i.e europeon skin, the latin skin or middle east skin is not suitable as hyperpigmentation is usually occur

whatever the dermatologist will advice you what is your skin type and what is suitable for you

good luck

This treatment in a clinic is quite harsh, and if you have darker skin it can leave you seriously discolored if you go out in the sun.

I have opted for an at home Micrdermabrasion kit from Loreal which does quite well and costs about 60-70 QR. I get at least 20 treatments from this and am pleased with the result.

Microdermabrasion will not remove pimples and such but helps in keeping the skin exfoliated and from clogged pores. If you want to get rid of Acne try Retin A cream and perhaps a light acid peel.
