I have existing main wifi router (Thomson) at upstair of my house. Can I connect another wifi router (Thomson) by using cable to main wifi router to create another wifi zone? Anyone can do it for me??

Yes, it is possible and works very well.

I had the Qtel modem in the lower floor of my house and signal upstears was very weak. I purchased a CISCO access point at PCOne in Salwa Road that installed upstairs and now have full signal also there.

The only "inconvenience" is that both devices shall be interconected by an ethernet cable, and the device should be installed near an outlet because need power supply. What I mean is that it's not very easy to find an "aesthetic" solution to route the cable.

You can find easily ethernet cables on the shelf upto 15 meters (the distance between the two devices), but if need longer they will fabricate for you in PCOne. The new access point will look to your computer like another wireless network in your home you can connect to but shares the same connection and bandwith.

Hope this info is usefull

MaveriCk 2, I have only internet. Actually i have tried to use Linksy Wifi Expender as a repeater before, but I failed to configure with my existing modem. The problem is I dont know how to configure correctly. Please let me know if you know anyone can help on this. Thank you.

Well, If you have an other modem, you can actually use the Ethernet cable to connect and configure the second modem, !! You can give a try ;) or else, use a Wifi Booster Antenna ;) Hot Spot !!

thanks for this post as even i need to know what are the possibilities.

Issue with me is i am using MOSAIC so my old Linksys modem is rendered useless. If i can bridge it it can work miracles with the Thompson.

David for you do you have mosaic as well or just Internet ? If you have internet access only i guess we should be able to easily bridge a (bridgeable) modem to use it as a wireless extender. I am sure some users will be able to help here.. but if you have mosaic .. now i need to know as well :)
