Help with Mozilla Firefox
By janeyjaney •
I have been online since forever and only just a few minutes ago I noticed something has gone badly wrong (or perhaps, I just don't know how to fix it).. anyway, every time I click on a link, instead of going to that link (on that same tab), it just opens a new window. Each and every time!!
What did I do? I need help with this svp!

in firefox
click on tools at the top
then options >tabs
and then the option always open a new page in a new tab :d
Go to Tools--> Options--> then move to the Content tab and do the following:
Make sure that no options are selected except the one in the middle which is "Disable or replace context menus"
Hope that would help ... If not then try upgrading your Firefox to the latest version which is 3.0 [used to be Beta].
If it does not work then try to install this add-on for Firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122
Best Regards ...
If u r using a mouse with SCROLL in middle...
Just click the links using that SCROLL BUTTON..
I m sure the page will be opened in a new TAB...
try updating to firefox 3.0, if still the same, then follow what darude says...
if your settings on links by "new tab" then by default it will, but some of the links are bound to new windows...
just update first, maybe yours are outdated firefox.
Well, i restarted my pc and it's not doing that. My options are set on new tab.
Anyway thanks!
Keep in mind, some links just always open in a new window. Test with some other links to make sure that the site isn't the problem.
If the link is opening in a new window by default, you can right click it and make it open in a new tab.

Click on Tools >>> Options>> and Tab>> choose same window.
