Unable to get Vonage to Work
We came from Europe where we used Vonage without a problem. When we call anyone using Vonage now, it rings once, then on the second ring it gets real choppy and the conversation is almost impossible to understand.
We went online to Vonage and changed our bandwidth, but that didn't help either.
Any suggestions on what we can do to get Vonage to work properly here in Doha would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the tip on other VOIP systems. I am not using WiFi; I'm not using a router, which makes me think QTEL is responsible for the problem.
I use MagicJack (www.magicjack.com) which is WAY cheaper than Vonage. I paid $60USD for 5 yrs of service and it included the USB device....no monthly payments. There's a small USB device that plugs into your PC and your phone...that's it. It can be used on any phone/PC anywhere in the world. (i.e. hotel room).
Anyway, if you're using a WiFi internet connection, this might be your problem. Try plugging directly into your router. Internet access is terrible here in Qatar, but a DSL connection works for my magicjack.
