is your wired conenction working with the internet?

If your wired connection is working with the internet, it means the configuration on you router is correct, so stop worrying about Qtel setup.

If your problem is with the wireless only, focus on the wireless settings on the router. You should be able to see the wireless tab on your router setup page, better to change the SSID, choose chan1 or 6 or 11. Setup your password for security if you like.

Reconnect on your wireless computer.

Hope your router has a modem. Also that you are using either the adaptor for the wall socket provided with your old Thomson router or the one which is coming with the new one. Hope that during the setting you have connected the router to your computer with a LAN cable. Also you may check with a phone unit for availability of a land line connection in the wall socket. Just small hints.

I think there should be a setup cd which will be easy to setup

the settings u would need to input are

VPI: 8

VCI: 35

PPPOE/LLC

Qtel provided username

Qtel provided password

after configuring these and ur net connection works..

go to default gateway page..mostly 192.168.1.1

then go to wireless option enable it then set security
