Lounging at The Pier - there's nothing like it

Many five star properties have opened their doors to the public in Doha in the past few years, but the Four Seasons remains one of the finest luxury destinations in the country. The Four Seasons’ glorious location, fascinating infrastructure, sandy crystal beach and the architectural spectacle that is Nobu, makes it a breathtaking and unique hotel.

There are many reasons one should visit the Four Seasons. To name a few, they have what is perhaps one of the top three spas in the country, their poolside area and beach is mind-blowing, while the hotel’s brunch is one of the most iconic in town.

As if these weren’t reasons enough, the hotel also houses another spot in the most scenic place possible. The Pier, situated at the edge of the private marina, overlooking the Arabian Gulf, is absolutely spectacular. I don’t think any other venue in Qatar can top the mix of the superb view and casual-chic vibe.

The seaside lounge has comfy/fancy seating (mainly white colors all around) with views of the sea, Doha’s skyline and Nobu. The Pier offers costumers delicious and refreshing beverages as well as brilliant dishes. The dishes at this glorious spot are predominantly Arab with an interesting twist.

We tried the Smoky Turkey (smoked turkey with barbecue sauce) and we thought nothing could be better than this, until we were served the spicy cheesy potato wedges pastrami and cheddar cheese, and the crunchy soujuk (minced beef, jalapeño and mixed cheese).

We also tried the black truffle hummus with oil and black truffle chips. All the dishes are rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. They have many other dishes on offer that unfortunately we couldn’t try. Considering the food and scenery are so great, the prices are incredibly reasonable, much more inexpensive than anyone would think.

Between 5 pm to 7 pm you can savor their special menu with discounted prices for food and beverages.
Visiting The Pier is a unique experience, there’s nothing like it in Doha. It is really a fantastic venue, with impressive views, great service and food.
