Admission to KG1- Pre Registration Process-Absolute dissatisfying_BPS Doha

Today (6th Jan 2018) as we could seat and attempt at the right time to enroll for KG-1 admission pre-registration, I just felt that my kid has not even started the career/schooling and she had to depend on her luck from even day 0 (Zero). I ensured good computers (2 - 3 nos.) and strong internet connections during that time, still could not enroll (started at 10 AM) and within 45 mins, the link got deactivated as the number of entries has been fulfilled (as diaplayed).
The process of admission or preregistration is absolutely dissatisfying and - system/internet speed/location etc. etc, based, which is beyond parents control. I met 6 of my colleague/friends, who tried for the same and failed to do it withing the stipulated time, which is just around 45 min.
I am not at all writing this post, out of frustration or anxiety, instead I only intend to inform School management about the customer dissatisfaction that has prevailed already. You may not be bothered of it, because all your seats are filled up. But in Qatar, this admission process is identified as got-up-case/showoffs  etc.
I would like to request the school authority to review the admission process, and enable chance to all eligible candidates to face interactive session/parents interview etc. This will definitely increase task for the school staff, but a fare deal, a fare chance is always a fare chance.
I even met parents who told me previously that the admission process to BPS is not right and its tough to get a chance, which I personally ignored then and unfortunate found it to be right now.

Hope you take this feedback with right spirit and take necessary action further (may be).
I know that this kind letter shall have minimum impact of any established system; but that established system has error and is not supported by the external world, society for which BPS is definitely working, apart business.

Very True, the opening of admissions was just a show off, I doubt anyone got admission through that link.

I tried from 9.45 to 10.45, the link failed to load even after multiple refresh and on different computers, finally when the page loaded, it said admission is over.

Its really sad that schools do this.

The post is correct i too tried to get through from 1000 to 1045 and BPS registration did not even open. This is farce and just to show the admissions are done from within. The system is corrupt and doesnot offer any fair deal. Most schools only register siblings hence we are left to hunt for schools. Sad story.

I share the feelings of the parents who were unable to register and I'm writing this note indeed out of frustration and disappointment. The process of admission is unscientific, unfair and at best it is a farce !

To answer the question what is the recommendation :

1. Allow all the prospective students to apply. Don't remove the link and deny a fair chance to go through the admission process.

2. Screen all the applicants through a transparent well defined admission process that may include any fair criteria or test but publish and make it available in public to all, for the sake of fairness

3. Publish the rank list with the details of the marks earned under each criteria

4.Admit students based on this rank list

As it is well identified in the above note that this process will cost lot more money and time than what is going on currently in the name of "admission process". Obviously the BPS management is not interested in or prepared to do that until this brings to the attention of the Ministry of Education and they receive a direction from there . Until then the public will have to go through what is going on now !!

The next question is , what is the recommendation ?? Solution, that school like BPS shall/may follow !!

Note: Seats are very less/limited !!

Hi I am glad that someone out there has posted there exp. about admission in Borla public school. I logged in to write my exp as a parent today at school and found your post.

I was not the only one there...there were lots of parents frustrated and unable to understand how anybody can register on a website which was supposed to open at 10:00 AM today and it didn't. None of the parents who were there at BPS campus could open the page to register there kids details. Yet the school claims people have registered. Parents have been waiting in front of their computers and smart phones from 8 in the morning in the vain hope that if they were quick enough they would be able to register. I request everyone out there, who was able to register on the link provided by the Birla school to please leave a comment here so that all the other parents who were unable to open the link will not feel like they were fooled and they just wasted a couple of hours clicking on a useless link.
