Canon repair shop in Doha?
Is there a reputable Canon camera repair shop in Doha? My 17-85mm EFS lens has been playing up and keeps returning the error 01 - that there is a communication error between the camera and the lens and to clean the lens contacts.
I've cleaned the contacts already, quite thoroughly, but the problem persists. My body is a 40D and I have no problem with any other lens.

I hate to tell you this but I had the same problem with one of my lenses and they were unable to repair it ... at a reasonable cost. ie it would have cost me 90% of the new lens price to fix it!
YES, THAT'S THE ONLY PLACE TO GO, THEY REPAIRED MY DIGITAL CAM TOO.
You will need to go to Salam Plaza, next to city center. Second level you will find camera section. They are dealers for Nikon and Canon. They should be able to help you out.
