i buy my DSLR camera last month and still have fun playing it. i have a freebees bag, camera kit (with lens already) and a memory card. as being an amateur photographer like me!! what whould you recommend to buy a MUST HAVE??? im planning to buy tripod next month.... thanks in advance!!!
As Vignale says. Wait to see what you take. If you find you are taking more shots of wildlife and can't get close enough, buy a big telephoto. If you take close ups consider a macro, If you take portraits consider a 50mm f1.8 or 1.4 prime.
To check what focal length you are using most, look at the 'EXIF' data for your pictures.
You can't beat a good flash/strobe setup if you take lot's of portraits either. A tripod is a must, but don't be cheap. A good quality on doesn't cost that much more.
Must haves? More memory. A spare Battery. UV/skylight filters to protect your lenses.
Nice to have? Lens clening solution and cloth. Remote shutter release. Circular polarizing filter.
It all depends on what you take photos of. Get some Proper lenses, camera Kit lenses are normally not the best quality. Get a proper Wideangle lens. Maybe a prime lens for prtraits and low level lights. Get also a proper Flash- the onboard flash is not good enough.
