NO on both counts. Wait till the next iteration of ipad to resolve this issue. Either Apple will develop some sense or Qatar carriers will nudge to Apple's Brazen approach

I would love a 3G iPad, but will it work with Qtel or Vodafone Qatar? :/

Maybe the best choice is to ask these companies if they are prepared/ready for this new Tech Gadget.
