HTC desire pro 10 Android Mobile Connection issues using data

My friend experienced an issue to connect internet using mobile data using his newly purchased HTC Pro 10 mobile device. Certain apps like chrome, youtube, gmail (google apps) was not connecting using cellular data. Solution is to create new APN (access point name) inside network settings and select the newly created APN.
