Ultra-Quiet (60 decibels or quieter) Air Compressor with a 9L to 30L Tank
Can anyone recommend where I should look for an ultra-quiet (60 decibels or quieter) air compressor with a 9L to 30L tank? I need to operate this indoors with air-powered engraving tools.
For some of the Qatar Living veterans, I have already tried borrowing the boss's compressor. Likewise, I have also tried inflating balloons from car tires and using the resulting air. As well, I have also tried squeezing stray cats with air tubes attached to their mouth and nostrils. Nothing works. I need a real store that sells actual air compressors. :)
While I bought the air compressor from China and dealt with the shipping costs, I did manage to find some shops around the industrial area.
One shop in particular had a good selection of lesser Chinese brands. This shop is in the shopping complex on your right, as you are leaving the industrial area about to merge on Salwa Road heading toward the corniche.
The main shops where one would be expect to find an air compressor for home/hobby stocked only industrial type air compressors.
I found two small hardware shops that just happened to stock a Chinese air compressor similar to what I was looking for, but for about QR200 more I was able to order directly from China the exact specifications I wanted.
There was also one shop in Najma that sells a Chinese 8-liter silent air compressor and asks QR1000 for it, more than I was expecting to pay for such a small compressor.
