Green Building Debate at MEP Qatar 2011
We have been invited to deliver a keynote speech at the MEP Qatar 2011 Summit that was held at Oryx Rotana Hotel, Doha on 27th & 28th of June 2011. The conference theme was about identifying and exploring current and future opportunities in Qatar’s MEP industry, with a highlight on the key solutions to the latest challenges in Qatar’s MEP sector. The event featured technical presentations from key experts, demonstrating best-practices in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing sector.
Our presentation was titled: "The Green Building Debate - Debating if green building requirements should be mandatory or if they are an unnecessary expense". The primary axes of the presentation were:
- Understanding the value of long-term investments in a developing nation
- Determining the variation of green MEP requirements in infrastructure and building management
- Mitigating design costs without reducing the performance of a building
The event was well organized and managed by IPQC Middle East and it turned out to be a great success. The group of speakers was carefully selected to include a wide range of experts who delivered a clear and professional message to the audience.
