my mom had the same problem.. iron deficiency.. she had gone through with the treatment.. it took a lot of time, although the hair falling stopped but she didn't get the hair back... i can see her shiny scalp sometimes..

On Friday I went to the Doctor for reports. He said that iron level is low so he gave me iron tablets and hair spray and asked to take this for 3 months.

Doctor had hair but less ofcourse but he is in his 40's the things he told me I understood very well and i studies that he is right. He says hormonal changes or diet.

Today I went to dermatologist, he said it can be due to deficiency of iron or some hormonal changes. They took my blood to determine iron level and told to come after 2 days. Also he said that there is a hormone that removes the hair from head and increases them on shaving and other body area. He said if its not the iron deficiency then it is definitely the hormonal change.

I myself think its iron deficiency and for that I am already taking multi vitamins.

They charged me 215 QAR let's see what else say have to say:-(

@ GOL man I am not married So sexual changes cannot happen back in Pakistan everything was cool everyone used to wish hairs like me. Its either water or improper diet I think, I live alone that's why.....:-(

@ REDAN. My father at 49 has as good hairs as a young guy, even my grandfather. Its Qatar I think I shall plan to move somewhere else and InshaAllah with in 6 to 8 months I plan to leave. I cannot afford losing my hair.....:(

Regarding to your problem with hair fall, it could be for several reasons, like standing or walking under the sun for long time?, or using much shampoo?, or taking long time under the shower water?, or even it could be a gentic thing as if your uncle or father or even grandfather was bald?. ^_^

However, there is a say " Prevention is better than cure", so my advice to you is to stay away from the sun in hottest times, also wear a cap.

Nevertheless, if your problem is that bad, then you better see a specialist doctor for that.

If the hair is what you are worried about then I remember sometime back soemone on QL had suggested a exotic funny smelling oil from Sri Lanka. My balding boss Michael from Sweeden used a portion of that oil with good results and now he has thick hair growth all over his head and body.

Seems it's useful for many if we can find the right suggestion from QL friends. I have the same issue, my head needs to plant more hair now.

I have felt that there is problem with food and with everything here. The Fruits are tasteless water is not full of minerals and Vitamins in Diet are also not sufficient. I think that these deficiencies might also be the cause of hair fall. I think I shall also try Multivitamin tablets to fulfill this deficiency.

Lets try whatever I have found and what ever you guys have suggested and see what happens.

Welcome to Doha! Yep, it's the water and climate. Use a shower cap. And try washing hair with mineral water, though I doubt that will make much difference. I don't think the mineral water bottles are from cool mountain springs in Switzerland :P

Same case with most people here ..... You can only make money in GCC at the cost of your hair .....
