Humble request

By t_coffee_or_me

Now that the summer is on us please put a pot full of water in the balcony for birds, to protect them in hot summer. If your house is a row house type, request to do the same for animals.

And will make him [('Îsa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, a figure like that of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah's Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.

the other week, i saw a cat roaming the hallways in the commercial bldg where our office is located. i put a paper cup with cold water outside our door where i saw him "loitering". he did not mind it:-( the bdlg caretaker took it and threw it away.

and yes, do put some water outside of your gates/ houses. i am reminded of our 3 dogs back home who fall in line in front of the water bowl during the summer time. never fails to make me smile.

usapa na...

Done. Like Happy Happy, we buy bird seed. We also continue to keep small and large bowls with fresh water for the birds and cats.

You're right, it takes days for birds to get used to your place (where food is). The first few days they would pick food and fly away, one more day they would stay briefly with cautious, next you know they claim the place for themselves...:)

You can have them get used to you, if you like.

[16.79] Do they not see the birds, constrained in the middle of the sky? None withholds them but Allah; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe

[21.79] So We.made Sulaiman to understand it; and to each one We gave wisdom and knowledge; and We made the mountains, and the birds to celebrate Our praise with Dawood; and We were the doers.

I think if we will leave water for the birds outside our homes, they will die....the water will be boiling !

[2.260] And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! show me how Thou givest life to the dead, He said: What! and do you not believe? He said: Yes, but that my heart may be at ease. He said: Then take four of the birds, then train them to follow you, then place on every mountain a part of them, then call them, they will come to you flying; and know that Allah is Mighty, Wise.

i think that a shallow bowl would be best as water container so the bird (especially the younger ones) would not drown in case it might fall on the bowl. p.s. plus to provide the birds a small place to swim in case they want to take a bath.:)
