ministry that regulates apartments
What ministry in Qatar that regulates housing, flat and apartments.
A brand new flat that we rented for about almost 2 years now is infected with molds. Molds are everywhere in the building not just in our flat.
Is there a ministry or a local agency in the state of Qatar the check, regulates or approve a certain building if it is constructed correctly or not?
Molds are hazardous to health. Right now, we do not sleep at the master bedroom where molds are there. Some of our furniture were damage because it was infected with molds.
We are looking for a flat that is mold free...
But before we leave the building, can anyone tell me where should I report my concerns.....
Thank you so much
spidey2011a did you find what you looking for? If you do, kindly share the info. I am having the same exact problem and don't know what to do. I hired the infestation company to kill the mold and it keeps coming back. The landlord refuse to change the infected furniture because for him its the matter of cleanliness....sigh..
btw...this flat that you talking about is not in Al-sadd near regency I hope.
Really it is so sad to notice that almost all flats, buildings for residence are nothing but a poor quality.
I wonder if it is in the entire gulf....
if you go to other countries.... you pay for what you are get.
In Qatar, prices regulation (not just for residential flat) are not just. (Well, that is for my observation)
My house is also new, since we are the 1st tenant, but there are a lot of thin cracks at the wall.
It is a very bad quality!!!. It's not worth for what have we paid...
I am wonder ... how the people built the house???
Hi, yes we already did.
They tried to re-paint 3 times, but still it keeps coming back.
Almost every day I am cleaning the molds with bleach, tried to burn with a fire-candle. The maintenance from the real estate tried to heat up the wall using a burner but still the bacteria keeps coming back.
The real estate company that leases the building told us that it could be a water leaking pipe with in the wall.
It could be, but, why is it I noticed the molds almost everywhare in the building.
We wanted to notify the local agency in Qatar so that safety measures, guidelines or even annual check-up routines of these residential building wether they're safe to live or not.
You are paying every month and almost all of your salary goes to your rent and it is not easy to move from one apartment to another.
As I scout to different used flat/apartment, (about 1 yr. old flats), you will really notice walls have molds or paint are starting to deteriorate.
Even with the brand new flats, as you look the walls it looks like after a year it will start to deteriorate.
why don't u get in touch with the landlord? he might help..
