The polluted Persian Gulf

I came across this article describing how many barrels of oil and how much raw sewage is pumped into the Gulf each year. And this is what we know about. Something tells me Iran is not going to be too forthcoming about what it dumps. It makes you think twice before heading out to the beach.

Interesting, but I missed the link to Iran ....

The eco system is very fragile and can be damaged by a number of things including desalinisation. This has caused erosion of the coral reefs and damage to the under sea fauna and marine life.
