last weekend i had to drop my friend to al-khor..it was at night around some 11 o'clock..after a while i got a sensation to use the toilet, so i went near the alfardan bus stand..i was happy that there is a public toilet there..but when i entered it!.the horrendous condition of the toilet is unspeakable..i dint feel like eating food for 2 days..heh..makes me wonder why dont they put up some paid clean public toilets..i mean i am ready to pay for clean tolets!! Qatar is not a poor country..a fraction of what it spends for multi billion projects will be enough..its the small things like this that count.. cheers :)

Public toilets ..... in the gulf they are a topic that is best left undiscussed. Hardly any can be found in places where they are neded the most and then the authorities cannot blame the public for relieving themselves in various places

Do use Mosque..don't take it in other way...but some time, i also face same situation with my kids...so i look for near by mosque. there i use to request some buddy to use there toilets for my child...

i thing u will find mosque in every 1 km in qatar....

so thats why may be they don't built public toilets..as they are already available in mosque..this is my point of view..

with all respect to Muslim Culture & Qatari Culture..i don't know the outsider's can use the mosque toilets or not. or any non-muslim can use it or not. but i will prefer to ask somebuddy, whenever my kids emergency happen...

correct me if i am wrong.

Errrmm, why can't those USING the public toilets clean up after themselves? A good first step would be to FLUSH the toilet....if nothing else, at least use the dipper...

i do agree somany places in doha needs toilets going out with family and kids you need to plan otherwise all of a sudden my kids wanted to go to toilets, i cannot convince them to wait till i find the toilets, so, some time very difficult to find toilets within specific distances. I hope the concerned authories will look into this important issues to provide toilets facilities at all common or designated places all over Doha.
