Strange lights over Doha around 7:00-7:30pm

why more credibility, we are several witnesses...i do not care if people believe or not, i know what i saw and my wife, my daughter were with me in the car as well as several other cars at the signal, plus other witnesses here such as Pennie, Baked_scallops (really strange nickname :-))...

Hi,WK...hows you? Shame you missed it, it was a quite amazing sight.It just fell from the sky,getting brighter as it fell,with what certainly appeared to be flames surrounding it,brilliant white ...then it just burnt out and disappeared.!

Well now you have bit more credibility with pennie supporting your theory.. Meteor hunt can be fun :o)

MLK...it would have been great to know where it finally landed as it must have left some sign! Of course,it may have been 100's miles away so I guess we'll never know! Probably in the desert.Looking at the size of it,I'm sure there would have been something left of it to make contact with Earth. Fascinating stuff!!!

now we are 5 witnesses...what shocked me at that time we the speed and white light glowing of it, so i was pretty sure about a meteor.

It might be interesting to see if pilots for ex got specific instructions about it...as there are many websites (i posted some on this topics) alerting about potential near earth objects...and this one might have been a big one indeed !

MLK...I saw the same thing as I was driving home.I told my husband about it when I got in,and described it to him.He is a pilot and said it was almost certainly a meteorite or piece of debris falling from outer space and burning up on entering the earths atmosphere.Not uncommon but not that clearly visible usually,so it was probably a fairly large object.I think we were lucky to have witnessed it,as it was quite spectacular!

It was the moon playing hide and go seek ;-)

I saw the bright light in the night sky a week before EID while going to Gharaffa.At first I thought it was a helicopter but it was too slow and much brighter to be any airplane .Later I went through some sites that explain bright lights in the sky and came to the conclusion that either it was a weather ballon or some drone satellite or maybe just a phenomenon which can be scientifically explained by a physicist only.UFO's are out of question because the airforce or airport radar can detect any alien occupation of the airspace above Qatar and these sort of sightings are reported worldwide everyday.If you believe me,while driving along a rural highway in India back in 1986 I saw a very strange formation in the twilight at dusk.I pulled over to see and was amazed that the strange formation was in fact 100'000s of birds flying together in tremendous synchronization which gave it an appearance of a flying saucer.

Well i guess when a canon is shot, first it goes up as you said, but then you will see trails or something. This light was coming strait from the sky...and was far to big to be a cannon fire...

Also tell me where this cannon fire was shot, which area?

They were actually Triskelions from the outer reacxhes of our galaxy on their way to their new outpost at Gida Prime. They were the same people that dropped me off here in Qatar a few years ago :O(

They have left now after being unable to find suitable accomodation and a decent mechanic for their spaceship...

light travels faster and farther than sound as it has much higher frequency...so even if there was an explosion there, humans wouldnt have heard but... a dog might have ... were there any startled dogs around when you saw that light?

.. i'd love to have some feedback from other witnesses from different areas of Doha as it was far in the sky...I was thinking about some space junk debris or an asteroid coming close the earth atmosphere, but it would be shocking that no inventory was made before..

Regarding the size, the color and the strength of the light, i would think most probably about the asteroid...but still not sure

yeah i guess people will think this guy is crazy, but unfirtunately for them we are three witnesses in the same car...and other cars have probably seen it as well as it was in front of us far in the sky, maybe above gharaffa or khartyiat area or even far from there...it was quick
