6 yr-old boy looking for friends/play group

We are new in Doha. I am from Hong Kong and husband is from Scotland, my 6 yr-old is feeling very lonely without friends before school starts in September.

The tae kwon do centre run by Master Shin (he used to coach Qatar national team and now run his own business) and Mrs.Shin doing the administration. He have 2 korean assistant Master Kim and Master Ann. You can tell Master Shin / Mrs Shin that Sam's mum recommended the place. I think they will let you come one classes free of charge and see whether the kids like it or not, that way you can decide before you commit buying the shoes and uniform. My son been doing it since September last year and now he is in green belt.
Ask again to Master Shin about the minimum age of the Tae Kwon Do ... i think last time he mentioned around 4 yrs old ... your youngest one might be in the small side :-)
Little Angels is great ... they do cooking, painting, artcraft and water play. As far as my son love it ... i have no complained about Little Angels lol.

Could you give me the number of the Tae Kwon Do classes that you son attends. I also have two boys ages 3 and 6 that will be starting the summer progam at Little Angels. What's it like?
there are nothing on in the summer in Doha. The place is dead. All coffee morning and mums group closing down for 2 months. Most mums and ladies going home with their kiddies, only unlucky one left behind in Doha like me lol. God bless little angels nursery lol ... otherwise he will drive me crazy staying at home full time.
would you like to meet up with me and my son sometimes in the weekend for an hour? Mc.D playdate or maybe we can go to centre point (there is a play area on the top floor for them to running around).
which area do you live? I live somewhere near American Hospital ... i wonder wether we are in the same area.
how do you find Qatar? Must be a cultural shock for you comparing living in HK.

Thank you for your info. I am looking for something more unstructured playgroup as I am still desperatly looking (doing taxi runs)for a villa compound to rent. I think the playgroup also works for me to meet new friends too.
new in town ... i put my 6 yrs old into summer play school in little angels full time from 8 to 2pm. After that he goes to Tae Kwon Do 3 times a week. Outside that hour he is quite happy spending sometimes on his own in his bedroom.
