Definitely not racist, that's just a red herring (or green, blue or brown depending where you come from). My issue was the lack of manners of the lady who is the receptionist and the impression it gives to us.

Doha Mums are great people as well, but much more polite.

Starfish racist? They have people from all over the world as both students and teachers and racism is absolutely not part of their agenda. If you have an issue with your child working with staff of certain nationalities then Starfish is not the place for you - they're about a racism-free as it gets.

As a matter of fact, when I started Doha Mums one of the first questions asked by the owner of Starfish was "are you allowing all nationalities?". It was very clear that she would not be interested in spreading the word had we limited it to just a certain country/ethnicity/religion or whatever.

(The answer, of course, was yes - Doha Mums has members from more than 70 nationalities and all religions/ethnicities - just in case anyone is wondering.)

I really don't think that that is a fair comment... Both nurseries have multinational staff and management from all religious backgrounds as well... why would they we racist to anybody? Perhaps you should call then and use your REAL name so they can address your concerns.

I went there the other day and the receptionist was just being so rude to a parent. My kids are there and I was shocked, so I asked other parents and it seems this happens quite a lot. It used to be so friendly, but there are one or maybe two staff that are just plain rude and unpleasant. I guess it is the arrogance that often comes to these schools when they get so full that they don't need to be nice to their customers any more.
