American school of Doha..

hello i am moving to Qatar in the end of july .my Hubby got transfer there in Doha and he moved there in jan already.He registerd my kids ages 11 and 7 in ASD.They will answer in the end of march.i just wanted to know hows this school?do they have islamic education too?if not is there any private islamic education where i can put my kids ..like after school?.i am from Canada basically ,but moving from abudhabi,where my kids r learning islamic education and Arabic in thier school.another question is hows life in Qatar with kids?

to the right under the blue guide to qatar. School placements are difficult to come by here. My suggestion is to get on as many lists as possible. ASD will not fully accept any child until they are personally assessed.

Just wanted to ask you that how/what is the registration process of ASD? Is there a waiting list there and for how long? How did yr husband find the school? Did u get to see other Schools too and if yes can u please give me info too.The reason for asking is that my husband might move in April/May and the rest of us in August(hopefully)

Would appreciate your response.

Well, it is an American school, so it is not particularly Islamic or any other religion for that matter. They do teach Arabic as a second language along with Spanish, French, German. ASD is arguably the best school in Doha so I think it's probably just fine.
