Hi all,

is it only my family or is the summer flu this year very resistant and presistant? Also, yesterday my two younger children came from school yesterday with upset stomachs, then they threw up and this morning are running low grade fever... they have different breakfasts for school... but later at home the only things they both ate are doritos chips, yellow apples, fruit yoghurt and milk (not all at one time)- but then we all had these..

I am wondering... is anyone out there also experiencing the same thing....

Nope, not interested in an online consultation, that isn't really a patient centred approach.....I could be speaking to god knows who in god knows where!....Sorry, I don't think its the way forward. So, without filling in a questionnaire first, can you tell me exactly what its all about?? Do you refer to specialists and how if you are in UK and we are in Qatar?mmmmmmm

Hi Supanurse,

The details are in the questionnaire. It won't take you even 3 minutes to complete.

Hi Alexa,

The questionnaire is completely confidential. The only reason for doing it is to see if people would be interested in live online medical consultations and to get an opinion on the health services they have access to now.

I'm sorry that I've only been a member for a short while. May be you can think about filling it out in a week, ;-)

I'd really appreciate it if you filled in the questionnaire - it literally takes 2 minutes to do.

Regards

Actually Alexa the questionnaire is general, no personal details needed..

This sounds like a good idea saijister, but online consultations are probably good for certain things but its not a replacement for seeing a doctor for physical check ups/diagnosis..

Would probably be a good idea for second opinions...Its an interesting idea though..

advise you to avoid milk and yoghurt and everything could expired quickly, some times the expired date is fine but the food inside is affected....

Possibly,

I'm still in the UK, but loads of my friends or family live in various places in the Middle East and I often get asked about giving medical advice.

People try to arrange getting their scans/tests looked at etc. Generally I get the feeling that although there are lots of modern healthcare facilities in middle eastern countries doubts still remain regarding the quality of opinion.

The site would offer:

1. e-consultations (secure e-mail/instant messenger/VOIP/webcam)with a top UK specialist.

2. Ability to upload scans in thier original format.

3. Ability to upload blood results/ECGs etc.

Please have a look at the questionnaire and let me know what you think.

There is a tummy bug going around. It lasts a couple days with throwing up and diarrhea. Just keep them hydrated with non-sugary fluids. We always have bananas and rice when the sick ones can finally keep things down. And if you have any question about what is wrong, please take them to the doctor!

Dear All,

I am interested in getting your views on the quality of healthcare in Qatar and how easy it is to access it.

I have prepared an online questionnaire and would be most grateful if you could complete it. Please use the link below.

Thanks a million.
