If you are interested in getting your certificate attested from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi, contact Mr. Ahmed 6826155. He does it in 7-10 working days at Qr. 400 per certificate. His payment terms are 50% advance & 50 % on delivery
You need to go to Indian Embassy in Doha along with your passport copy and RP with two sets xerox copies of your original certificates along with originals. They will give you a form and you need to fill it up and you have to pay the nominal charges for attestation per certificate(I think QR.30/certificate and it may increase also now).On the same day,by about 3.30pm ,you can collect the attestation,if you had given/completed all those formalities in the morning.Mainthing is,you need to go little early in the morning say by 7.am so that you need not stand on a long que.
After getting certification from the Indian Embassy, the same attestation copy has to be again get attested by ministry of external affairs, qatar and after getting the same, you need to get attestation again from the Embassy of Qatar. With that you can apply for your family visa with necessary documents.
I took mine down to the British embassy, as i am from the Uk and they certified them for 100 QAR each. so i would take them to your embassy in doha if you are here.
I needed to certify my marriage license. Since I am from The US I had to send it to the state license office where I was married to be certified. I then had to send it to the US State Department in Washington for their "certification". It was then sent to the Qatari Embassy in Washington for their "approval". After I received it I had to have it translated into Arabic and then brought it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After that I was able to apply for a Family Visit Visa. I hope the "red tape" in your country is not as extensive.
