but honestly i think the best gift would be to take her on her birthday to a surprise holiday to a place where she has a desire to go. and if u don't want to do it then give her some gold jewllery like bracelete or a ring. but ofcourse u can choose less expansive gifts as well coz its not a matter of price tag its just the way of expressing ur feelings and emotional attachment.
Give her atleast 3 gifts on her b'day. It can be flowers, greeting card and 1 main gift(jewelery, hand bag, perfume, a book, iPod/mp3 player, mobile phone or anything of her interest).
Ensure you don't give her all the gifts at a shot. Give it one at a time. Maybe flowers in the morning, card in the noon and the main gift give her at dinner. So that she will be thrilled and anticipate what next and will remember her b'day forever.
