Delivery cost in Women Hospital for Evening Clinics
I am a patient for women hospital, evening clinics (cant get morning appointment and I am working as well).
I just found out that evening clinic is called private clinic by the nurses. The consultation charges also QR100/visit compare to morning clinic which is only Qr50.
I am just wondering if the cost of the delivery for evening clinic is also different from the morning.
As my search all mentioned that the delivery cost is free in Hamad, does it means patients of evening clinic will also get free? or have to pay as private?
Medan, as told by SAMDIN, that one has to literally insist HAMAD DTRS for giving ne painkillers or for scanning, its better to go PRIVATE..U know, even i too wasn't having any insurnace but we opted the private clinic as it was our first baby and i didn't want to take ne chance..It really costs a lot to deliver in the private clinics in DOHA if one hasn't INSURANCE, but its really worth for ur whole life..Well, i m sorry coz many won't get agreed with me..But i believe in this that at last we are earning for what?? To utilize our savings at the time of need..right??

Thank you so much for you warm response. Now I have peace in mind, well the reason we choose the Hamad coz we are not covered by insurance.
Hi, I delivered my son January 2009. I went to evening clinics as I was unable to during offie hours. I worked untill last day for my delivery and sailed thru a normal and wonderful pregnancy
The cost for me was as follows:
Evening clinic consultation - QR.100/- each visit
Evening scanning- QR.100/-
I had a cesarian delivery which they charged us the normal charges as for everyone.
Operation cost is QR.100/-
3 days hospital charges - QR.300/-
I paid in total - QR.400/- when I discharged my self.
Additional advice- You hve to request for what ever you want specially pain killers after delivery or they will not give you volunterily.( They will not charge extra for this)
I had to request scanning many times as I didnt feel baby moving and most of the times Doctor will not care or read your file but you have to insist on if you think any problem with you or your baby . I asked many quetions from LAB people, Scanning techs to the Doctor.
I am glad cuz my son is alive today for my vigilence and insistant to check his growth and condtion on every visit. and i too read my file when ever I got a chance to read it ( usually they wont let you) I used to compare parameters with info from net.
for delivery at womens hospital .same applies for everybody unless you are planning to get your own private room and request for your private ob/gyne to deliver your baby.then you have to pay for her/his professional fee and private/suite charge..
