Does Anyone Homeschool?

I have been homeschooling my daughter for over 3 years since the start of her education and have no desire to send her to a public institution regardless of how highly rated it might be. Does anyone know firsthand if there are any regulations regarding this? We will be moving to Doha after Ramadan, I have asked my husband about this but he can't seem to find the answers.

Thank you so much for the replies!! Really, I was not asking about our preference to homeschool, but rather, the laws and restrictions, so I thank you all very kindly. She is involved in activities currently like frenchieman suggests, so I am happy to know these exist in Doha. I too have read the article about regulations before posting here, but I also was under the impression it applied to natives, which we are most definitely not. Thanks again!

Lots of Westerners homeschool. There is plenty outside-of-school clubs and sports for kids, so socially homeschool kids need not be left out.

You can home school your child. Here no one really cares what you do about kid's education.

There is nothing against Homeschooling. It is economical, you can interact one-to-one and plan programs/study topics together.

If you are comfortable with it - then Go for It :O)

Homeschool in Doha i think is not yet publicized. Education starts @ home yes, but i think your girl deserves to be of normal school environment, that is with others kids of her age, actual learning atmosphere that is having a teacher figure and socialize as well and eventually learn to behave accordingly. Being in school is fun in some way i guess.

At least I do not know of this, but for sure it is a good idea to homeschool children because what I have found out that no matter how good the school is, but parents have to contribute a lot to the child's education.
