Dog to go home country

A good friend of mine adopted a dog from a common friend and he wanted to bring the dog back home in our country. But the problem is the dog has no known medical record as the former owner already left the country as well. She's trying to get in touch with the previous owner but she's running out of time as their flight is already next week. Now she's asking us to do the processing of the dog papers so we could send the dog to her afterwards.

Honestly, I am having a second thought about this as I don't know the procedure for bringing pet back home. And I really don't know if I could handle this new dog as we have our own ChinChin.

Any advice what to do will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

They can kennel the dog at a vet, and the vet will handle the relocation, even if they have already left the country. Call a vet and find out about the exact procedure and cost. Simple.

and she loves that dog but unfortunately, they are leaving so soon so the need for someone to do the processing. They are willing to shoulder the expenses, what I am asking is the procedure so I could advised her properly.

I have no problem taking care of two or three dogs. That is not the point of this posting! Read again the post.

You can't handle 2 pets at a time, better not to get into this hassle at all!!!

If all effort of a loving owner is taking that long that to get the papers, do you think your half hearted effort will yield much when the safety of your kids will be paramount for you at this time with a strange dog. I love dogs but not another's in my home!!!!

My advice is dont get involved, its not an easy procedure and can take up to 3 months depending which country the dog would go to?

Leave well alone !!!
