Hi all, I am working in Doha (expatriot-European)however, soon i will become a mother. Unfortunately, my european husband did not accept the child and requested a divorce. How can i re-enter the country after the birth of my child as a single mother?I will need to provide the divorce? How i will bring my baby inside to DOha?

CAn you advice me a lawyer?

Hello friend,

i think (i dont know clearly) there is no need of a lawyer. you just take request with divorce certificate to the passport office so they will change you as (her/his) guardian so you have to send that certificate to the qatara embassy so they will provide visa for the baby. i dont know exactly i just heard like that from my PRO

You must consult a lawyer and your HR. It would seem not to be a problem yet since you are not divorced. I may guess that it would be easier if you just remain married, i.e. stall on the divorce proceedings. You're not on your husband's RP, are you? If you are on your own your marital status - married or separated - is no one's business. You want to keep your marriage certificate for the birth at least.

Oh what a disgrace! How can a father refuse his own child~ :( Be strong! And to answer your question, it will all depend on your sponsor that will bring you back to Doha. Whether they will provide you work visa based on single parent status. So I'd reckon you have to check first with your sponsor before doing anything else.
