First time Mum moving to Qatar in January
Hello, my husband and I are moving to Qatar on 7th January, currently living in Kuwait so we are used to life in the Middle East, although I am sure some things in Qatar will be very different. We are moving with our 2 friendly dogs, Bruce and Clay, and are hoping to find a Villa in a Compound in the North of Doha so my husband can commute to Ras Laffan for his job. I am pregnant and due 25th March. Few questions if anyone can help?
1. Which hospital should I look at going to for the delivery of my bambino?
2. Can anyone give us compound names that are in the North of Doha, I believe we need to be looking in the West Bay Area? Looking for 4 bed villa with pool, gym, club house, etc....
3. Any other first time mums who are due in the new year?
Thanks
H
Thanks for your help, I have emailed al Emadi hospital to find out their costs and exactly what service they provide. I have also been told hat al ahli hospital is great.
Please check with Al Emadi hospital, it is run with American standards, and the only hospital and clinic i use. Very efficent staff. Getting appointment for anything goes fast, and easy.
i had a gallbladder surgery few months back, was treated very good, and my husband was able to stay in the room with me. Very nice private rooms, and they have birthing rooms.
Best wishes.

We just moved here a week ago and my wife is having her first child due feb 25. We haven't visited any hospitals yet but were told a private hospital is best. We are Americans and would prefer the husband can be in the delivery room as some places don't allow. Our accommodations were made by our employer so unfortunately we don't have info there. But I'm sure my wife and you can share information and figure things out together especially since you guys aren't due to far apart. Good luck fill free to in box us any time.
Thanks for your response, been on Doha Mums which looks great and am awaiting a response from them. I believe you can't join till you are in the country and have attended one of their events. If anyone can answer any of the questions on here it would be appreciated, especially like to get chatting to other expectant mums before I move to Qatar.
