Five places to watch the sunset in Qatar
Who does not love watching the sunset and taking a moment to reflect on their day? Sunsets have their own way of putting life into perspective.
If you are looking for a place within Doha to catch a sunset that does not require you to drive to the edges of Qatar, we have got a bunch of them too.
So, we have put together a list of some of the best sunset spots in Qatar.
1. Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park
Open 24 hours a day, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park is one of Qatar’s most admired and visited parks.
Located around the Museum of Islamic Art and the Arabian Gulf, it is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a picnic with family or friends or go for a long stroll - with its extensive pathway, you’re sure to hit your 10,000 steps a day!
There are so many spots to watch the sky turn to gold and see the soft orange glow falling over the Doha skyline.
2. The Pearl- Qatar
The Pearl- Qatar island has got some stunning sunset spots. With Qatar Rail’s new Metrolink service, it is much easier now to visit the island. You can take a metro to Legtaifiya station and board on the M110 Metrolink bus, which will take you all around The Pearl Qatar.
If you go all the way to the end of Porto Arabia, you can watch the sunset over the waters. Enjoy and relax with a cup of coffee or tea from a wide range of restaurants and cafes in Porto Arabia.
3. Lusail Marina Promenade
Over time, Lusail Marina Promenade has become one of the favorite destinations for many of us, searching for some fresh air and gorgeous sunsets.
You can also reach Lusail Marina Promenade by Doha Metro’s Metrolink services. After a long walk by the marina, stop by Lusail Marina Food Arena and fuel your taste buds.
4. Purple Island- Al Khor
Purple Island is located on the northeast coast of Qatar. The best part is that it is surrounded by mangroves and suitable for family outings.
You can reach there by driving to Al Khor and continuing towards Al Thakira. You will not need a 4x4 SUV for this, which makes it more convenient.
This is an excellent place for easy rock climbing, kayaking, or just enjoying the beach and the sunset from the edge of the rocks.
5. Sealine Beach
Sealine beach is e hotspot for beachgoers during the weekends, especially when the mercury level drops. The family beach offers BBQ booths and a restaurant. Outside the family beach, you will find a selection of eateries including Teatime, Al Aker Sweets, Khosh Kebab, and much more.
To get the best vies of the sunset, you can climb up the dunes. There’s no better scenery than watching the sun setting over the dunes on one side and blue waters on the other.
