Friendliest primary schools
I am aware of the issues of wait lists etc for the 'best' Doha schools but putting aside academic excellence I wanted to ask any parents here which schools they feel are more supportive of developing social skills?
My 4 yr old son is quite shy and introverted and needs encouragement to 'join in' and to make friends with new people. When we move to Doha he will be starting full time school for the first time too and I want to give him the best chance of dealing with all the upheaval well, and at his age social development is more critical to me than the 3 Rs. So, any opinions out there?
Thanks :-)
Have you tried Loydance. It is a small school that only started a year ago. Facilities are growing slowly and small classes. All the teachers are very nice and they able to give individual attention. Because the school is small the children get more opportunity to shine.
My kids attended Cedars and loved it. It has a real 'home from home' feel about it and the staff are really friendly and caring. They are slightly specialised in that a lot of their students are from all over the world and speak many different languages but there are a lot of students from UK who go there and the teachers are all Brits. Anyway, worth giving them a try. Another good point is they have small class sizes and the kids get a lot of attention. Google them by searching for Cedars, Qatar. Best of luck.
