I would appreciate if you can guide if hamad patients are being transferred to WWRC from now onwards ?

What are the visiting hours?

How many attendants can stay with the patient?

Was the staff helpful during and post care?

Did they allow husband in labor room?

Do they care about if patient is only considering lady doctor for all purposes?

And the rent you mentioned is for the private or semi private?

My wife is getting discharged from women wellness and research center at hamad after delivering our first born baby .

She stayed for 3 days , normal delivery with all procedures .they took well care , i would say luxury care for us .she is on my sponsorship with RP and Medical Card .

We paid only 300 rial for 3 day room stay, rest all were discounted to zero .

Services provided

3 meals a day, inroom toilet and tv connection , extra sofa cum bed for visitors with chairs .

Frequent Doctor checks

Any laundry or extra bedding if u need

Women can accompany patient all day n night , male can stay till11 pm .

Entire staff was very help full.

Medecine on third day was charged only 16 rial for 7 days .

Can I have the latest updates on the charges please..

Whats the latest price of delivery charges in hamad hospital for 2017?

Hope fully it has to be same as HMC do not increase the fees frequently...

I would like to join the conversation and may be my experience can also benefit someone needy.

No need to worry if you have no RP things get perfectly done if gone through proper channel as i have also experienced same in the beginning for my wife delivery.

Visit visa ppl just try to have a referal form from any private clinic and go to cashiering section in womens hospital with original PP and visa copy, then ask the registration counter and request for HC Number they will provide you with it and then go to reception and submit the copy of referal form with HC no. written on it along with your mobile then follow up after 3 days on phone about status. Inshallah u will get appointment and from then you can start appointments in HMC and related to charges you will be charged as visitor but gud thing you will not spend as you do in private hospital.

Each appointment - 60 QAR

Ultrasound - 84 QAR

Medicines - Very cheap some times less than 5 QAR

Normal delivery - 1000 QAR

C section - Max 5400 QAR

Shared room - 400 QAR

Circumcision - 600 QAR

All the above are for Visit visa patients if RP process same only difference in charges.

Kindly note all the time on your visit you will be asked to produce ID and healhtcard just remind them u are on visit and show you PP. Most of the staff is supportive but sometimes bad luck they will feel you embarrassed, just dont be panicked and have patience as at the end of day u are saving huge amount for not being in private clinic.

For everyone's attention, as per our experience its not too complicated to have delivery under family visit visa...

after 7 or 8 months you can start fixing appointments at womens hospital...for that u need referral from private doctor. and the charges are as follows.

C-section - 5400

normal - 1000

and room charges - 400 per day

Yeah.....i dont think u cn directly go to hamad....u need to go to a private docotr and get reference from tht doctor to hamad....i went to dr. Kudsiya......she referrd me to hamad.....thn i went to hamd womens hospital nd from thr they fixed appointmnts......i think ths s d way.....dont knw if any rules hv chngd nw..

I am new in Doha, when I visited Hamad they said you cannot do anything without rp and told me to go to a private doctor...How did you deliver in Hamad on a visit visa?

All required costs I wrote as per hamad given info- of course it will depend what kind of delivery u r planning to have- definitely living and health cost has gone up . As for irmaya enquiry- if you don't produce health card / u forgot your health card upon submission to hospital even if u r resident - u will be charged as a visitor .

thnx for d information......delivering in dubai means u need to either hv an insurance or ur one year savings will b required......around 4years bk for me it cam all together,that is room,medicines,an extra nigt to stay......all togethr it came just 1800QTR......so now as doha is getting expensive i wanted to knw if they hv increased the rate for delivery too.....i had such a wonderful experience in Hamad......am in visit visa....so wanted to knw abt it......more information appreciated...

without an health card it will be expensive i would suggest to go to a private clinic then.

if you have the hamad card it will cost u only 200 -400 max get the card now it costs only 100 QAR. But i think you need an RP for the same

no optional c section a HMC only if medically needed.

irmaya rehman, your Health Card receipt should serve as proof of health card.

My experience is about a year old ( rules might have changed ), but I used to avail all health centre and Hamad Hospital services using the receipt in lieu of the health card. I usually receive the health card about 2-3 months before it is supposed to expire.

I'm also expecting baby in few days, i hv been following up for health card more than a month, going to one health center to another. But they took the registration money only whch is QR100/person as when we were about to take the card they bounce us here and there and made us going around Doha, at the end someone who is in one of health center said "i dunno, u can ask to the hospital"

Hamad hospital also not giving us the health card even we have made the complain letter refering to the service of health card.

My question is, How much is the delivery charges in Women Hospital if we have RP but no health card? is it going to be charged as visitor also?

Then if we stay in private room, are they going to allow the husband to stay overnight?

Since u don't have rp u will be charged as a visitor- the charges are as follows- day care procedures 1200; common bed 400; private room 1800; VIP suite 2700. Small operation- 2400, medium operation 3600 ; major operation - 5400; normal delivery 1000. So depending on what kind of procedure u want- u can get the price.hope it helped.

last week our baby is born normal in HMC

only 200 QR for bed(2 days) and 16 QR for medicines

i guess qar400 per day of hospital stay. C section about 5000. if will circumcise a male baby 600. n u calculate ur total!!
