Hey, everyone.

When I get to Qatar, I plan to homeschool my children. What is the possibility of taking a few extra children of similar ages to my own and schooling them too. Can I charge the parents for this service and how many children will I be allowed to have in homeschool???
Thanks you guys are very helpful and this site is the best!!

i did homeschooled my kids in the US ...but since they are here ....I like my kids to try British curriculum to enrich their knowledge .... I use gov curriculum .... if anyone would like to use the gov curriculum and register with the school district back home let me know it's so easy ...in fact i bring some of the curriculum so when they get back home they will not far from US curriculum

homeschooling is really one of the best option choosen by parents. in this way u can build up a strong foundation for ur lil ones.

anyhow, as about setting up a homeschooling organisation, unfortunately the law here in qatar does not allows it. but still if ur seriously interested then in that case u can issue a "commercial registration" from the ministry to start up all this on a commercial basis.

Sokks, listen to april family and PM her. This is how I found out about the group. If she is unable to help then I will dig up the yahoo group and contact info. Let me know how it goes.

I have homeschooled my children all throughout their academic "career" and I am continuing to homeschool them here in Doha. They are now 11 and 13, so I've been doing it a while. LOL!!

I'm happy to share any information I can with you. Just PM me with any questions and I'll do the best I can.

This is something that we might be interested in. I arrive in Doha on August 1st and I am going to check out the school thing then. If no luck then I have a 7 year old that could maybe be a student of yours. I have also found a home schooling group on this forum. If you do a search I am sure it will come up.
