How can i say sorry to my 3.2 yr old son....

Last day I yelled at my 3.2 yr old son. Last day we went for shopping and he asked for some materials. I told him, I will surely buy it for him. But he keeps on asking me. I lose my temper and told them to stop shopping and we return back to home without purchasing anything. When we travelled back home, I yelled so much (around 45 minutes) to him for the reason.

But now I think, that’s my mistake and I must consider his age. I know that’s my BIG mistake. How can I say sorry to my son in this case?

I expect your valuable suggestions for this.

Also make him understand that you respect him as a person but you lost your temper only coz you were stressed.

Give him a hug, spend time with him talking. watch a movie together, let him feel your love to him is unconditional.

Sometimes it is not the words that counts but how you show much much you care.

Yes, today I will take him out and will surprise with some gifts. Moreover I will explain him why I behave like that with my apologies. I hope he will understand me.

Thank You All for your Good Suggestions. God Bless

Explain to your child why you yelled at him and then apologize. Hug and kiss him and buy him his favorite stuff so he would forget the negative experience. Lastly, don't ever do that again...I'm sure you would not want to be yelled at for 45 minutes would you? Well, neither does anybody:)

DONT FEEL GUILTY. FACING CHALLENGES OF PARENTHOOD IS NOT EASY ALL THE TIME.

TAKE HIM OUT TO SOME OF HIS FAVOURITE PLACE , MACDONALD KFC , JUST YOU AND HIM. HAVE A REMEMBERABLE EXPERIENCE WITH HIM TAKING EATING AND ENJOYING. HE WILL LOVE YOU AND WILL FORGOT :) DONT WORRY

The most important thing is to have a serious talk to your son as soon as possible. Try to explain to him why you did it and while saying sorry, you have to impart that what happened should not be repeated.

Children are forgiving but does not easily forget. You just have to link his experience to the fact that there is somethings that he must not do.

One of my parents used to do that to me a lot.. except that they would keep yelling for much longer than 45 minutes.

Try to make it up for him. Take him to purchase whatever it is that you've promised him of, if possible. Keep your word so that you don't lose his trust.. and maybe treat him as an apology afterwards?
