I am scared.....

Atlast we have decided to go to the housemaid agency to hire a nanny/ household helper.
I called up different agencies and heard their fees, the nationalities available, etc.
Before going to the agency to make a choice, would like to hear from everyone who has genuine tips to give me.. To be frank, getting married at 22, was easier than this.....:-) I am plain scared.... :-(

don't go for the young one's it's a classic, they will just end up flirting with a lot of guys. Get someone family oriented, so she will care for your family the way she would want hers to be taken care of...

We all know the bitter facts about the LOCALLY HIRED MAIDS..No need to feel guilty while commenting about them..Even QL has had many threads related to it in the past...

Hm... Though I dislike commenting on it, my friends locally hired maid ran away with the laptop, mobile, etc during this summer. The family trusted and liked her so much. And she also looked trustworthy, but.....:-(

I have been ridiculed by people including my family and husband for being the maid rather than taking in someone and enjoy my life.

Let me try it the slow and careful way.

You can rely on the housemaid agencies..Nothing to worry for..i did it few years ago though i didn't like the MAID's working style..But agencies are trustable one..it's good that u didn't decide to hire any local maids that are available through some FREE VISA procedure..

Srilankan maids suit Indian families but go through all the referees carefully and experience also counts a lot.And nothing to be scared if you do a detailed background check before hiring her.
