IVF in Hamad close for expats

Hello, I had IVF treatments in Hamad but unfortunately had miscarriage recently. I tried to book for another cycle in Assisted Conception Unit but they told me that they stop accepting expats for IVF treatments! The reception didn't mention if this is temporary or if it will ever be available for expats as I heard rumors Hamad will close the service to expats since they are always fully booked. My friends also received a call from Hamad to cancel their appointment even after months being on the waiting lists. Most of them are booked for July, Aug and Sep. NO reason given for the cancellation and was just told to try calling after Oct etc.. does anyone know why this is happening? And is there a chance they will open again soon maybe Ramadan?

Also does anyone know any other IVF clinics in Doha for those who want to pursue treatment? Any experience in Doha clinic, how was their success rates?

Sorry to hear about your loss. We are sailing in the same boat :(

I was scheduled for my first ivf appointment on 4th of august 2014, and today by chance I decided to reconfirm my appointment timings but unfortunately I was informed that they have cancelled my appointment. They told no reason for cancellation although I got this date last year in december. So you can well imagine how I am feeling right now. I have simply wasted 8 months. The Hamad staff was not even concerned to inform me well ahead of time. I could have gone somewhere else. Anyway... what r ur plans now? Apparently, there r no ivf clinics here. Doha clinic has some visiting faculty but im not sure of their results. Please update me if u have some new feed.

Good luck with everything :)
