hi! is it possible to live in doha without having a car or any form of vehicle? I have a 1 yr and 5 mos. old daughter and my wife. Are there families here surviving without owning or renting any vehicle? just pure karwa/carlift... Salary ranges bet 7 to 8k...
yes it is possible but you have to be patience. waiting for a couple of hours just for a carlift or karwa, be on a Q when you go for shopping.. sacrifice with the irritating odors of "ibang lahi"... and this is only few effect of not having your onw vehicle...there's still a lot more...
take note in august atmosphere temp reaches 50degC and you will wait for a ride on the street with your family...
Just by renting is hard, expensive, contracting is cheaper but annoying when suddenly he cannot come, but for the meantime, you can, but it would be really time consuming to wait, expensie too...try to buy some second hand one, just be sure, the registration is new, means it passed the car check, see also the tires...hope this helps...
well its all depend on you pal, what you want to do? where you want to go? how often you want to go? how long? and on and on.... well just don't let your kids stay under this summer sun for long. peace
imagine yourself with your family going for your "family day" (friday) and taking the public transportation...the buses are crowded...taxis are scarce...your children are uneasy...your wife is cranky...ok, ok, maybe i'm exaggerating...but you get the picture.
