Kiwi families in Qatar

My husband and I are looking at contracts in Qatar.
I'm a nurse and my husband a critical care paramedic.
We have two boys 13 and 8.

The offer we have includes a schooling allowance. How much is this likely to be? I see schooling is very expensive.

Are there plenty of family things to do when we're not working?

I'd love to hear other families experiences.
