ive heard good things about doha mums ive got two teen girls and a 18 month old boy.

I second the above. Doha mums is a great resource for new arrivals.
I went along a few times too, even though I'm a dad. Felt a bit out of place, but they understood. All good and my boy enjoyed the company of others the same age. Three cheers for Doha Mums that don't discriminate against dads.
Doha mums is good advise. My wife joined when she came here in January with our 7 year old, go along to one of the introduction coffee mornings to meet other mums. They also do regular events like a morning or an afternoon at the Intercontinental West Bay lagoon for a fraction of the normal rate. Good luck!
