Maid hire - an introduction

By Ausexpat

Hello,
can anyone give us an introduction to live-in maid hire here in Doha.
Particularly:
1) Sponsorship privately vs thru agency
2) The usual checkpoints involved
3) The pitfalls and dangers (and of course how to avoid them)
4) The usual salary & package involved (working hours, days off, inclusives & exclusives)
5) Must your wife be full time employed too?
6) General information.
7) Preferred nationalities (i know it sounds wrong but i dont know any other way to ask)?

Your help is appreciated.

Make sure the agency will refund you FULLY if maid is not fit to work. Unlike the agency: "JASSIM Decoration & Services Co.)" who will not refund you immigration fees even if it's their fault. Be Ware!!
