if he is a muslim, just go to shariat court in doha. When you are coming to qatar, bring with you a "Certificate of singleness", meaning that you are currently not married. He doesn't need such Certificate, as he can have up to 4 wives anyway..:)

it is easy..Go to the court, they will give you a date and time for registering your marriage, then bring 2 witnesses.. 40 minutes- and you are married couple..:)

such passport, and others if you have,

If you are Muslim he should be Muslim also, other wise this will be illegal marriage (Haram)

does that mean that you'll both be studying in the same college in qatar? If thats the case, and they sponsor you both 'individually' as students, then thats great ! :D..btw how is he going to support you..?

As a Muslim convert the consent of your parents is not required...the court judge can be your guardian to validate your marriage. but still they need the certificate that shows you weren't married before.

I found this from the Hukoomi (Qatari e-Government) website...Maybe this might help you. I suggest your fiance try calling the phone numbers below so he can ask specific questions and get all the information you need, or at least point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Before you get married, check out the sponsorship system...who is going to sponsor you, plus who is sponsoring your finace... a college or his father..? Check these things out beforehand to avoid problems..for example to travel you will need an exit permit from your sponsor!

Yes, qatarisum, this is what I want, to combine education and marriage. My fiance is in master study now, and i will be in master study too.We wait for 2 years too meet and we both get scholarship in Qatar.

And Sonya you are right, i am young but i have more reason for marriage. We are both muslims, i converted 3 years ago.And here i have some problems with my family because of that. Also my future husband is really good man and i am sure in my decision.

You are all welcome in the wedding

Soniya she asked a simple question & she definitely didn't ask for your advice or i would say interference. Please if you don't know the answer to a question, don't make such comments.

Bosnian girl here is your answer:

You & your fiance needs a certificate of singleness from your embassies & then go to the marriage court & tell them you want to get married plus if you need any additional documents or something they will tell you. They will give you a date, just show up with few friends who will be your witnesses.

Hope you have a happy married life

qatarisun, nothing wrong..But it just distract the mind..Infact i too got married when i was doing my MASTERS degree (not bachelors)..I hope u know MASTERS is ahead of BACHELORS degree..And to tell u very frankly, it was quite disturbing for me to study in that new environment..Neways, i m not here to discuss my personal topics here..

If she can well accmodate her studies with her marriage, who m i to raise the voice?? Since shez so young now, v just need to give her some advices..Its upto her whether she wants to follow or not..LOVE CAN ALWAYS WAIT..Marriage is just a stamp on legal papers..

I don't want to go personal her..So plzz no comments ne more..

By qatarisun• 8 Jan 2010 13:28

why she cannot combine education with being married? what's wrong with that?
