Medical Examination upon arrival
By ananda_ACHMAD •
Dear all,
I get an offer to join one of company in Qatar and I plan to move to qatar with my familly, We have passed the medical test which was conducted in my home country.
1. I got information that we have to do another Medical examination upon my arrival in Doha to obtain resident permit, Is it true?. Is it possible to ask examination before I resign from company currently i work for?
2. Could you advise me the average living cost for us (familly with 2 children)per month?
Thank you & Regards,
Adi
pumasa ako for qatar airways dapat alis na kami this oct kaso nakita sa med xray na may ptb daw ako pero negative naman sa blood afb n other test sa xray lang positive icoconsider ba nila sa qatar un any info ty
Not so tough to pass the exam. It's good u already have got ur medical exam in ur country and passed successfully. No worries over here. The major threats normally are Aids and Hepititus. An initial stage TB can also be treated by the govt over here.
Expenses depend upon ur life style. Qatar is not very expensive, Oil is very cheap, Food is a bit expensive. House Rents are very high upto the sky. QR. 7500/month two bed room flat (furnished).
Thank Roy,
Could you tell me the probability of pass/fail in this medical check-up? Since like you know it is not funny to resign from my current company and after that I could not enter Qatar. Basically I have no problem to undergo medical check up. I just passed the MCU in my home contry, and declared that I am FIT to work.
I the offering I recieved, i will entitle company house and company will pay for school of myy children.is 5000QR enough for living cost in Qatar?
Thank you,
Adi
It is true that you have to undergo another medical examination here in Qatar. Its not possible to be examine before you resign from your current company because you must be examined here.
The cost of living here in Qatar is high. If the company will provide you with an accomodation, for your bracket, you need to spend at least 3000 riyals per month to survive decently. But if you have to find your own place, I think you need to spend at least 8000 riyals for your place to stay, food, etc. If you have kids to send to school here, that is another big financial factor you need to consider.
Good luck!
