Please advise on marriage for expats in Qatar

Hi all! I am a filipina and will be getting married with my Tunisian fiancee by December. I have been advised by the Philippine Embassy that they cannot facilitate our civil wedding since they only entertain cases wherein both are filipinos. I've heard that the Tunisian Embassy is also closed. Hope you can advise if there are other ways for us to get married here in Qatar. Thank you for all your answers in advance.

Thank you King Edshel and Pro Trading. My fiancee is muslim and I am catholic. I hope that things don't get too complicated. Will ask him to check the procedure for Doha court since this is so far the most feasible way to get married. Thanks... thanks again :)

what i think is as long you are you partner are living here , both of you should follow the rules applied here on the State of Qatar .

if your partner is a muslim , he can take you to the court and merry you according to the Islamic law even if you are none muslim .

if not , i am sorry cuz i dont know much how it work out .

Good luck , wishing you a life full of joy and happiness

Can't you guys just get married according to the Shareiyah laws here? Sorry for asking but are you both Muslims? It would be much easier for you both to get married that way and it would be recognized here without problems. I heard that those civil weddings won't be entertained here anymore soon ...

Get married here according to the laws here, when you get on vacation you can have a wedding as well in the Philippines ...

My friend went to the Philippines [Egyptian], got married and he is back working on getting his wife here now.

Wish you the best of the luck ...
