Police Clearance Certificate for Immigration

Dear all, my wife needs to get a police clearance certificate from Qatar for her immigration to Australia. My wife and I are both Qatari residents (with valid residence visa and Qatar ID cards), and I am her visa sponsor. Can anyone, preferably on the basis of experience, answer following of my questions:

1. Where is the location of office that will give my wife a Police Clearance Certificate?
2. What documents of support do I need along with the original application form? Do I need letter of No Objection from my work sponsor, or is that not required? My wife does not work, and I am her visa sponsor.
3. How long does it usually take to get a Police Clearance Certificate?
4. Is this certificate in Arabic or English, or in both languages? Can I request at the time of application that certificate is to be issued in English only?

Thanks a lot in anticipation for your help.

Kind Regards

Hello, I got Police certificate at the last month. I went to the same place for finger print for Qatar visa.

I had to go into the office for a woman. Because I am a woman. They ask 10QR with a credit card not cash. I did not have a credit card. It was a problem, so I had to ask to my driver. And then, they gave me a receipt and registration paper. I had to go back affer 3 days to pick it up. They did not give me in the day. I have had Qatar ID, so they did not ask photo. I hope my experience should help someone.

For those who has reached this thread as you wanted to apply for PCC for migration in 2014 and beyond. I went today to apply for my PCC and it was a breeze. I had downloaded the from for the same and had it filled before going there. Got my token no. and it was done in 15 mins. If you are a resident of Qatar, no need to take photographs. All they require is the form for PCC(they will give it you if you don't have it), a xerox copy of your passport and the resident visa and that's it. Plus you pay 10 QAR by card-no cash here. You will get in a week's time. Very impressed, to say the least.

While some see Driving While Illegal (DWI) as another issue in the illegal immigration debate, for police officers around the country it is just another potential danger. Every time a police officer gets out of a cruiser for a routine traffic stop, he or she isn't safe until it is over.

If am were you this is what I'm going to do rather than rely on advises to a subject that very few has experience...you can speak arabic (one of your advantage) you can call 180 and ask for the address of the main Police Headquarter in Qatar..surely Police HQuarter has an information desk..ask them, they will fully state to you what's the necessary documents you need for your wife...for translation you have to ask the Australian Embassy if they will recognize the documents translated and stamped by any language center translator here in Doha..then follow whatever they told you.

It seems to me that you don't want to move your ass a bit..you want to solicit an info for free and save you from trouble of coming back in forth and asking proper info from the right authority....you are boasting to be a very professional guy but simple procedure are too lazy for you to arrange personally...whatta guy!!!!

For Australia you need to be able to show a detailed and long criminal record. The more felonies the better. If your wife is lacking in such activities tell her to 'raise her game' as the Aussies would say
