Post lockdown activities for children in Qatar

With 15th of June just around the corner, I feel I need to start putting together a list of things I miss doing in Qatar. There's still a long way to go until we can go back to the lives we knew before and many of the things I fell like jumping into won't even be available from the middle of June. But I'll write them down anyhow as a reminder that life is incredibly beautiful and we need to enjoy all the opportunities that come our way.

So feel free to jump in and add in the comments what excites you when you think of post-lockdown life:

  1. Qatar Philarmonic Orchestra mini-concerts: The 1-hour performances at MIA or Qatar National Library are ideal places to go with children. The songs are great for young age groups, the timing is just perfect, and the locations are suitable for the little ones who don't necessarily want to sit down.
  2. The Al Bidda park playgrounds: Al Bidda is one of the favourite parks in Qatar and the playground excite the adventurous little souls. We usually go to the one closer to Car Park 2, as we find it the most interesting.
  3. The Singing Dune: About 40km away from Doha, the Singing Dunes is the place I saw my 2-year old sink into contemplation. The landscape is serene, and if you catch the sunset, no matter how your day went, you'll surely find yourself feeling grateful for seeing the sun setting on another beautiful day of your life. Plus, the sand is enjoyable! We take our LO straight into the bathtub after he bathed himself into the sand first!

What about you, QLers? What's your top 3?
