Pregnancy with Working RP is allowed?
Your Kindly Advice Please..
One my friend’s wife is working in Doha and has already RP. Her husband also working here but he was unable to sponsor her RP. Both of are Sri Lankans. Their legal marriage certificate is available. Now she is pregnant. The scenario is,
• If she delivered baby, under her visa any object or violate the Qatar Law?
• Can her Qatari sponsor take over baby’s sponsorship?
This is very sensitive case. They really need help. Now she is preparing to go back to Sri Lanka with red eyes.
Please dear friends If you have experience with similar case advice us.
Yes, it is allowed especially if husband sponsorship is not possible due to salary restrictions.
After birth, the baby shall be allowed to be transferred under the sponsorship of the father regardless of the requirements (e.g. salary..etc)
Mods... where's my reply to Biju on this thread??
Biju, I have clearly mentioned that the answer is based upon the experience of one of my colleague and his RP Status was Driver and his wife was a Nurse, but not with the HMC... I don't know whether there are some exceptions for HMC Staffs...
My colleague's incident took place in 2006.
In this particular case none of us know whether the lady is a nurse and employed with HMC....
What if she is not a nurse in HMC??? From the question it is very clear that, the husband does not have a family status nor he is eligible for that...
I dont think sebichanmjose's answer is correct I know lot of people from India living here with family with different sponsor. Specially his wife is a nurse of course no problem. One of my friend's wife who is working in HMC and husband is under another company is living with their kids and their kids are under mothers sponsorship.
Thanks a lot.I will advice them. Once again thanks sebichanmjose..
Telgpp..My advise is... ask the lady to go back to her native country when she turns 7months... Let her give birth to her baby peacefully...
Yes she can bring her baby on visit ...
Better not to take any risk...
sebichanmjose..
I agree with you. what do you think the best advice may I give to them..Go back to Home country..?But After delivery can she take visa to the baby and come back to work?(Probaly after 6 months or later)
Sebichaaaaan... sooooper
noms... its not the matter of whether husband and wife is here or not.. it is the case, whether the father can sponsor his kids or not... If the father is not eligible for a family visa; certainly the baby will be sent back to home county... else she has to mention husband is not in Qatar while applying for baby's Birth Certificate with NHA.
In that case, they will calculate her last entry to Qatar and the date of delivery.. if it matches.. no issues... (one or two months pregnant when she entered). She will be allowed to keep her baby here for two years, but have to endorse baby's name on her passport. If the date of entry and the date of delivery does not match, she will be in trouble..
Why to take such headaches?? Let her go back to her native place and give birth peacefully...
Sorry i don't have totally inforamation,
but i think u have to go to Sri Lankan Ebamssy they will give u better advise i hope so,,,,,,,,,,,,
sebichanmjose..
Thank you for your kindly advice.
As far as Husband was/is here & have Marriage Certificate,,shouldnt need to worry about anything. Tell her not to leave!
1. She can give birth in Doha. But...
2. She will have to apply for baby's Birth Certificate.
3. Baby's Birth Certificate will only be issued from CID.
4. Both parents will be called for clarification by CID.
5. They will ask to take the passport for baby in 10 days.
6. They will hold the passport of someone responsible.
7. They will ask to come with the proof (Copy of Exit
Stamp on baby's Passport)that the baby has already
exited the county within 10 days..
8. They will release the passport taken as guarantee.
One of my colleague (was a driver and his wife was a nurse) had to go through the above procedures, faced lot of harassment, had to sent the baby back to his home country within 10 days... It was a terrible situation, even none of us could bare with it..
Legally, if the father is here in Qatar, he has to sponsor his kids. And if he is not able to sponsor, the CID people will simply sent the baby back with no mercy.
So why to take all these headaches?? Both of them will have go through lot of harassment by the CID and other officials. If they are not convinced by the parents clarifications, they may take some actions which could be....
Ask her to go back to her native place... take a maternity leave.. Give Birth peacefully...
