Summit Academy

Summit Academy is the WORST school Ever in Qatar. Mr. Doney School Principle is the worst principle i have ever met. I have met with the school Principle and Management several times highlighting my issues and concerns but NO Action taken. It is very hard to reach the school owner as she is always in the USA and NO Action is taken by the school principle. Only one feedback is always received from the Principle is "I have NO Control" requesting parents to contact school owner.

I know it's a very old post , but finally I have takeout my kids out of this school because of DONY , hope this comment will reach to some one who can take an action in this farce ...

I have agreed with both Mr.othmaneid & BintAbdelrahman2001 , Dony is a very shameful and not qualified man to be a principle of any school , he have a very sarcastic attitude with the parents also he is underestimating the people while he is speaking to them , unless you are from Philippines (with all of respect tp Filipino people) .

He is not looking in a proper way to any of parents concerns , all what he is saying (I will try , no control) or he is saying you can email us , many parents including me had sent emails to the management and all of the emails are redirected to him or junked .

The educational level is decreasing as some of the nurses or the buss supervisors will be a teacher one day , are they qualified to be a teacher !! , I know the school since 12 years by one of the relatives , their kids are highly educated when was there a real teachers .

I hope to email the owner or at least to have a meeting with her without the attendance of this guy , which I know it's impossible since he is the man on charge for every single thing in this school .

Mr othmaneid ……

Thank you for highlighting this issue , with all my respect to Mr. Sugarde123 but it seems you are one of Mr. Donny’s friend/team !! as we can see Mr othmaneid didn’t mentioned or even highlighted anything about (misbehavior) hence I don’t know from where you had the impression that his concern related to kids misbehavior!!!!!!.

Mr.Doney is willing to listen but he never assist or guide unless its related to Pilipino nationality he is more than helpful ……. As Mr othmaneid said the owner is always outside the country and her response to e mails either to contact Mr. Dony or ignorance if the case critical and there is clear issue with the school management.

My personal experience with this school since 2004 , it was amazing from education-teaching – behavioral communication with parents ; but we all can see due to financial or whatever reasons the school team totally changed to less quality , in a way we may find a bus assistant or a nurse become a teacher after few years in the school which will reflect clearly the quality of education kids may get ……. This open the (Commercial) private sessions at home by teachers themselves in a strange way (one kid inform my kid with exam questions before exam day  as revision pointers designed by his personal teacher ).

So as I mentioned Surgarde123 you focus on child misbehaving as you know the issue related to Mr othmaneid kids only ….. but it’s not real …

Meanwhile, the school didn’t have high school since establishment hence you may talking about the beginning period while establishment and investing on good teachers (not now)

Your claim is completely unwarranted. I have 3 young children in Summit Academy. The price you pay for the education and the standard the school provides is a great value not only in the education of your children but also in the care the school takes to make sure your children grow up to become healthy, intellegent members of the community. My wife and I are from Spain. I have tried 4 schools in Doha; each costing 10 times as much as Summit. Still they all are horrible compared to the service and compassion summit provides. Trust me look around and you will see.

Totally subjective analysis. I have sent 5 kids to Summit Academy & they all have received the best affordable education in town. They are all continuing their higher education in the US at this time. I have tried other schools prior to sending my kids to Summit Academy but their experiences were horrible. Mr. Donny is one of the best principles I have dealt with. He is willing to listen, assist & guide. Yes! The school is strict when it comes to misbehavior, using of mobiles in the school by student, etc. but as parents we should support the school not to condemn it when our child is misbehaving.
