1. Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2020

The 17th edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE), which is organized under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, is taking place from February 24 to 29, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
The 2020 edition will bring together 127 exhibitors, a 65% increase from last year, from 14 countries. International exhibitors will make up more than 58% of the total number of vendors. Along with local Qatari designers, they will showcase more than 451 brands of watches and jewellery, providing a unique opportunity for luxury-seekers to learn about the latest products and innovations from the most renowned brands in Qatar and the world, all under one roof.
The Young Qatari Designers Initiative returns to the exhibition this year with five new designers, showcasing 16 jewellery brands, in a special zone, bringing the total to 18. The initiative was launched to support Qatari creatives and showcase their work and achievements, enabling them to display their designs alongside some of the biggest luxury brands in the world.
A global media campaign will run in target markets in advance of DJWE, featuring famed Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor as the face of the campaign and the guide for visitors on their journey to beauty.
2. Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil

Experience a mesmerizing live show where the stadium’s electric atmosphere meets the theatre’s intimacy as Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil comes to Qatar, from February 27 until March 7 at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.
Promising to be a stunning, fan-fueled inspiring live show, Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil acrobatically uncovers the athleticism, devotion, and brilliance that bridges the world of football and circus by celebrating the magic behind the greatest footballer of our time.

The most flavorful festival is set to take place from February 28 (at 6:30 pm) till March 9, 12:00 pm to 12:00 am at Al Bidda Park, beside Fire Station.
Biryab is the cultural heritage of Indian, Persian, and Levant cuisine. A festival of tempest flavors from the origins of countries serving soul healing Biryani’s and melt-in-the-mouth Kebabs. Qatar’s premier international equestrian competition, Commercial Bank CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines taking place at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab from February 27-29, will not only feature world-class equestrian competition but fun-filled family activities and entertainment that will captivate and fascinate spectators.
This year’s festival area and dedicated family entertainment zone will offer a variety of entertaining activities suitable for visitors of all ages. This includes magic and puppet shows, marionettes, arcade games, art & craft, face painting, virtual reality games and even, traditional Qatari cultural activities such as henna painting and falcon handling.
“CHI” stands for Concours Hippique International or International Equestrian Competition. The three magic letters make all the difference in the prestigious equestrian world. It is a title of nobility, something rare that does come not easy. Organizers yearn for this title, while riders covet winning at a show of this stature.
5. Qatar Total Open 2020

World No. 1 and 2019 French Open champion Ashleigh Barty is topping the star-studded list of players, comprising four former champions, lined up for the Qatar Total Open 2020.
This year’s event, the 18th edition, is featuring eight of the world’s top-ten players including 2017 champion and World No. 2 Karolina Pliskova and 2014 champion and World No. 4 Simona Halep.
Also on the list are 2019 Wimbledon semi-finalist and World No.5 Elina Svitolina, World No. 6 and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu, World No. 7 Belinda Bencic, 2018 champion and World No. 8 Petra Kvitova and Kiki Bertens, the World No. 10.
In all, a total of 64 players, including four qualifiers, will feature in the singles event of the WTA Premier 5 tournament while 32 teams will slug it out in the doubles.
